Happy 20th Anniversary!

Twenty years ago today, Kim and I walked out of the Frederick County Courthouse as husband and wife. I have a feeling there were more than a couple of people who didn’t expect it to last. Guess the jokes on them.
Thank you for being my wife and best friend, Kim. As a wise man once said, reality is my love for you.

If You Can See This, I’m at Work

Well, by all indications, my snazzy way of making it so I can post via e-mail is working.  That means I can share all of my thoughts with you here from work as they occur to me.  Aren’t you lucky?  Of course you are.  You’re reading this.
This ability to do something quasi-productive will help to break up what is a very monotonous day.  Sure, I’d much rather be truly productive – there’s plenty of Fist of Justice stories to be written, even if economics and Diamond Comics are doing they’re best to keep them from you.  Plus, there’s at least a dozen other things I’ve got gestating in my head that are in various stages of development.  Queen Kimberly has told me on numerous times that I should be writing horror since I’m so into the genre, and of course a few of those aforementioned things ARE indeed horror. Two of them will most likely end up as OGN (Original Graphic Novels to youse folks not hip to the comic-world lingo) and one I see ending up running as an online thing before getting collected into a print TPB (Trade Paperback).  What are these secret projects?  Well, since they are still early in the creative process I’m going to keep them hush-hush for now.  But I will give you one nugget to chew on;  If I can pry Ken Haeser and Buz Hasson away from The Living Corpse here and there, we might just get to see the return of everyone’s favorite mad scientist – and I’m not talking about the planned sequel to issue #2 of said comic.
That’s it for now.  I’m off to look at numbers and make sure they match up to other numbers.

This is Encouraging

Use the Force

yodaforcelift1I want one of these:

Toy trains ‘Star Wars’ fans to use The Force
By Mike Snider, USA TODAY

The Force Trainer (expected to be priced at $90 to $100) comes with a headset that uses brain waves to allow players to manipulate a sphere within a clear 10-inch-tall training tower, analogous to Yoda and Luke Skywalker’s abilities in the Star Wars films.

Holy shit – how frickin’ cool is that?!?
Read more about it right here: “…Do or do not. There is no try.”

Only $3.99?!?

flame-2tAlright, this may be a body spray for men, but I’m telling you right now – if I came home and sainted wife Kim had spritzed some of this on herself, she’d need a pack of mules to drag me off.

Go HERE to see what what I’m talking about.

#43: When one of your customers, who knows you are a big Baltimore Ravens fan, GIVES you two tickets to a game because he can’t go.

Can You Survive?

As a kid I used to love – I mean LOVE – the “Create Your Own Adventure” books. As I got older I drifted away from the series and when I DID manage to check one out they weren’t as good. Not enough options and too many “Turn to Page XX” throughout the story.
Anyway, I forget where I first saw mention of this, here is something as cool as those old books. The GOOD old ones.
Yikes!“The Outbreak” puts you in the shoes of a guy caught up in a zombie outbreak. The acting is far from good and, overall, it’s a bit short – but it’s cool as hell. You should be able to run through the whole story – bad endings and all – in less than a half hour. But it’s a FUN half hour.
Go check it out, just be careful which decisions you make!
