And a BIG shout-out to my man Buz Hasson (“The Living Corpse”) for throwing this Fist of Santa (Santa of Justice?) together for me at the last minute!

Fist of Justice Artwork #2
Here’s a sketch of ‘Fist of Justice’ done by Ron Frenz a few years ago at the Pittsburgh Comic Con.
I think this is actually the first piece of artwork that I ever paid for. I don’t mean that in a cheapskate kind of way, just that I’ve never been one to get original art or commissions or anything like that.
But FoJ had just started and I really like Ron’s “old school” style, so since it seemed to be a logical fit with the character, I asked him to draw this up for me.
One of these days I have to get around to scanning some of the stuff from my sketchbook that I’ve been slowly getting filled over the past couple of years. There’s a couple in there that are really cool!
But until then, dig on this Ron Frenz original.
Fist of Justice #4
This SHOULD be in this week’s Previews:
Fist of Justice #4
by Mike Imboden, Chad Hardin, Eduardo Savid, John Wycough, Ed Dukeshire, Mickey Clausen
Cover by Yildiray Cinar and Deon Nuckols
For Fist of Justice, adjusting to life in the 21st century hasn’t been easy: There’s the Internet, smartphones, the War on Terror, Hannah Montana — oh, and a 10-foot-tall monster made of molten rock intent on destroying everything in its path. And did we mention a rampaging horde of mole men? Suddenly, the 20th century looks a lot better.
Fist of Justice #3
Coming soon.
REAL soon.
I promise.
There were a lot of little hiccups during the production of this one that resulted in a “perfect storm” of delays. Not that that excuses us for being late, but I DID feel that people deserve an explanation, so there you are.
The good news is that #4 is slightly ahead of schedule and #5 is on track. Issue #6 is in the plotting stages and Ed and I are looking at where we want to go after #7 (which has a loose plot already).
So, once this sucker is out we SHOULD be back on track!
Fist of Justice Artwork
Digging through my files I realized I had a lot of sketches of Fist. They aren’t doing much right now except taking up space in a folder on the ol’ Mac, so I figured why not start posting some of them.
We’ll start with one that my good friend Ken Haeser (“The Living Corpse”) did for me last year.
At first it was just a profile shot, but Ken started adding some lines and eventually began tossing some gray in there as well. Before he knew it, he had put together a pretty wicked looking drawing of Fist in a hard driving rainstorm.
This is one of my favorites that he’s done for me.
